The Maria Verdeja School of the Arts was founded in 1987. Ms. Verdeja has trained over 10,000 dancers with a full commitment to the excellence in dance education. The Maria Verdeja School of the Arts offers top quality teachers in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Contemporary, Tap, Acro, Hip Hop, Bboys Breakdance and Pointe at several locations in South Florida ; Coral Gables, Kendall, Pinecrest and Key Biscayne. Developing the dancer to their highest potential, while enriching the student with a sense of confidence and high self esteem is our goal.

Experience the excitement, glamour and challenge of Ballroom and Latin dancing, including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Swing, Samba, Flamenco, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Merengue and Salsa.
Considered the foundation to all dance forms, Classical Ballet is the contrast between strong leg movements and the graceful upper body.
A form of dance that uses quick and precise footwork to create rhythmic sounds and syncopation with the tap shoe.
An exciting and derivative style that incorporates both elements and techniques of jazz and hip-hop.
Contemporary dance utilizes both the strong and controlled legwork of ballet and modern dance’s stress on the torso and employs contact-release, floor work, fall and recovery and improvisation characteristic of modern dance.
Hip Hop dance refers to street dance styles of locking, and popping movements. (Hip Hop music at our studio is censored).
This tumbling course develops balance, coordination, strength and elasticity by perfecting skills in dance stunts and flips.
